Birthday and anniversary greetings

Each year, the Lieutenant Governor sends thousands of greetings to Ontarians celebrating birthdays of 90 years or older and couples celebrating anniversaries of 50 years or more.

Complete the online request form to receive a birthday or anniversary greeting:

Submissions are accepted up to six months in advance. To ensure that you receive your message in time for your celebration, please allow a minimum of three weeks for delivery. If the birthday or anniversary has already taken place, the message may be backdated up to six months.

Greetings from The King

His Majesty The King sends greetings to Canadians celebrating birthdays of 100 years or older and couples celebrating anniversaries of 60 years or more. These are issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General.

To ensure that you receive your message in time for your celebration, please allow a minimum of six weeks for delivery.

If the birthday or anniversary has already taken place, the message from The King may be backdated up to six months.

Greetings from the Governor General

The Governor General sends greetings to Canadians celebrating birthdays of 90 years or older and couples celebrating anniversaries of 50 years or more. These are issued by the Office of the Secretary to the Governor General.

To ensure that you receive your message in time for your celebration, please allow a minimum of six weeks for delivery.

If the birthday or anniversary has already taken place, the message from the Governor General may be backdated up to 12 months.
