The Lieutenant Governor hosted a reception in honour of the Frontier College Lieutenant Governor’s Indigenous Summer Reading Camps at Queen’s Park.
Frontier College partners with Indigenous communities across Canada to promote youth achievement and opportunity through summer reading camps. This initiative was pioneered by the Honourable James Bartleman during his time as Lieutenant Governor. The camps aim to reduce summer learning loss and build enjoyment and confidence in reading.
In 2018, camps in 23 communities reached over 2000 children.

Delighted to celebrate the many stories and successes of @FrontierCollege. Their efforts create culturally appropriate learning opportunities for Indigenous students where they live, empowering a new generation of youth in Ontario. https://t.co/pPoAHQW2HI
