Franco-Ontarian Monument Unveiling

The Lieutenant Governor attended the unveiling and  hosted a reception at Queen’s Park to celebrate a monument in honour of Franco-Ontarians.

In 2015 the Office of Francophone Affairs launched a series of initiatives to commemorate and celebrate the 400th anniversary of French presence in Ontario. The monument was commissioned as a legacy piece for the commemoration, and will honour the contributions of Franco-Ontarians to the cultural, economic, and historical development of the province.
