The Lieutenant Governor made an official civic visit to Kawartha Lakes, where she met with Mayor Andy Letham, participated in a roundtable discussion on transforming rural Ontario communities into tourist destinations and toured the Trent-Severn Waterway.
TY for the warm welcome @kawarthalakes to hear from the community of their pride in welcoming 1000s of visitors to the region each year as they enjoy the outdoor activities & hospitality available in the area. Agriculture & tourism are key elements in their vision of the future. pic.twitter.com/jNn8e7oZb6

The Trent-Severn waterway is a fine example of sustainable development, a 386 km playground and historic passageway connecting Lake Ontario and Lake Huron. Thank you to @ParksCanada for the work that you do to maintain it. pic.twitter.com/F7KmcSKsFX
