The Frontenac Arch

The Lieutenant Governor joined the Nature Conservancy of Canada to visit the Frontenac Arch biosphere reserve in Battersea, Ontario. The Frontenac Arch, also called the Frontenac Axis, is a 50-kilometre-long extension of exposed Precambrian rock that runs through southeastern Ontario and upstate New York. In 2002, the area received a UNESCO biosphere reserve designation.
